and finally, Joshy's BIRTHDAY!!!

Yesterday was my boy's BIRTHDAY!!
Joshy turned 3, and we just couldn't be happier about it! he says he's officially a "BIG BOY" now, and that means,
1. No diapers.
2. he gets the BIG bed. (not just his toddler bed, he's in a full size now!)
3. he gets to push WAY more buttons on mom and dad's patience and try WAY harder each day to be a smarty-pants and see what he can get away with!
But most of all, he's even sweeter, gives better kisses, hugs, and high fives than before. ...if that's possible.


He got a lot of presents this year, including:

Ice Cream Play Doh set
a new game for his computer

an awesome new watch from Tyler

in addition to these and some others, the best gift of all was having his Papa (My dad) fly out special just for his birthday. It was great having him here from Arkansas!!! thanks, Dad!!!

Ever since we went bowling in Pocatello with Grandma Julie, that's all Josh wanted to do for his birthday! So, we all headed down to the local bowling lanes and laughed at ourselves... a lot...

Josh had a great time though.

It was a fun day, and ended perfectly with cake and a movie.

Well, since Tyler's been home, we've been able to do a lot.

We've gone to the park, A LOT, with Joshy-

We've gone to the hospital once for Tyler... ...4 stitches and 5 hours later, we were able to go back home...

Took a road trip in a blizzard to Utah

took our first family train trip with Ty's dad and family

We stopped by the Airforce Museum in Roy, next to Hill AFB. Josh loved it!

We ran up to Brigham City where Ty's brother, Mike lives. We stopped into Emily's classroom to say thanks for their Christmas cards they sent Tyler. They loved having Ty there to ask all their questions- it was a fun experience!

Of course, we had to go by Dixie Grill for dinner that night- Ty missed that place! Gooooood fooooood....

a monument in Brigham City that just got a face lift- It now sits on the names of all the men and women from Brigham City that were killed in action.

We drove up to Logan to see Andy and Missy. (How did we not get any pictures with you two??) They introduced us to waffles with ICE CREAM for breakfast!!! Genius.

We also made a trip up to Pocatello to see Ty's mom and his brother, Chad came down from Helena with his family. What a fun time!

Just a couple more pictures from Iraq

First of all, I'm so sorry for being such a blog-slacker!!! It seems, ever since Becky had her baby and Ty came home, (which happened to be about 10 hours apart of each other) life just hasn't stopped. Even so, I've been told that's no excuse for lack of blogging... So, here I am.

as a thank you, I sent SSG Briggs a fun little collapsible fishing pole with line and everything and figured I'd get one for Tyler too. I was glad to see that they got a chance to play in a stream with them. Even though they didn't catch anything, it made for a great photo-op.

I can't tell you how glad I am that these are the last few pictures from Tyler being in Iraq that I'll be posting. It's been a dream, having him home- and now we get to post FAMILY pictures!!!!
