Not much to say yet..

It's been a rough 24 hours.
Giving Wyatt one last squish before I took him on post lastnight..
Saying "see ya later" and goodnight to Josh lastnight.

Mauser, his new girlfriend, claims that she will miss him the most.. She and I are each dealing with our Tyler with-drawls. Good thing we have each other.

This picture pretty much sums it up. I adore my husband. He is an amazing man, and even without the Army fatigues.. He's my hero.
February can't come soon enough.

We ran up to the Denver Temple to get some things for Ty, and of course Josh had to go into the waiting room and see the statue of Jesus.
I couldn't help but snap this picture with my phone.
Josh wanted to bring him home with us.

What a life..

Sorry for all the Mauser posts, but this kitty just amazes me! I came into the living room to find her SOUND asleep upside down and belly up in Wyatt's bouncy seat!
Before she experienced the comfort that is the bouncy seat, her favorite seat in the house was Wyatt's high chair in the kitchen.. but this chair sings soft lullabies! and vibrates! I don't think it gets much better than that.
Like my sister Lisa said, if there was such thing as reincarnation, I'd want to come back as Mauser.
..What a life.

Wyatt's Baby Blessing.

We blessed Wyatt last night at home. It is stake conference this weekend and I thought I would be in Iraq in a few days, so we arranged the blessing when Kell's dad was in town. Everything was kind of last minute, but fell into place pretty well. Our Bishop, our good friend Rhett Gardner and some friends from the ward also came to stand in the circle.
My boys are good at a couple of things when they're really little: eating a ton, and being really mellow. Wyatt didn't make a sound during the blessing, but stayed wide awake.
Kell's sister Becky has been able to be around the new baby fairly often and gets more excited for the arrival of her own baby this coming August. Marla was very happy to be here with two of her girls and the latest of her 13 grandbabies.
Here's Wyatt in his blessing outfit. It's the same one I wore, and the same one Josh wore. Joshy filled it out a little more, but he never has been a very small kid.
Becky and Reagan.
Papa Jim and the boy in one of his rare awake sessions. Look at those hands. I wonder what sort of trouble they're going to get him in later.
Still awake for Nana Marla...better take advantage and get more photos!
You can see how similar Wyatt and Josh are, but it's pretty awesome to see how entirely different they are too.

Ah the shoes. One of the first pair to be on my feet. Both boys now have worn them. I'd like to say that I would like to someday see my shoes filled by my sons, but that's not how I feel. I want them to experience some of the great things I have seen and done, but hope that they will be able to do so much more. One of the reasons I joined the Army was to have more of a knowledge of a decision that my kids would one day possibly make. The military has been pretty good to me, minus a few bumps here and there, and I hope my boys will listen when I tell them there are other things for them to do. The world has so many beautiful things in it for them to see. I hope my time in the ugly parts of this earth, means that much more time in the beautiful ones for Wyatt and Josh.

Go ahead, leave a comment!
