Well, I'm 33 weeks now and currently on 22 hour bed rest. My calendar, however, is very full. I have weekly appointments with my Dr, and I go into the Antepartum Testing Center every tuesday and friday now to monitor my blood pressure and the baby's heart rhythms and kick count. And to monitor contractions, but I'm not having any of that..
That place is amazing. When I go in, my blood pressure is usually always around 155/95-99 and by the time my hour is up, lately it's gotten down to 123/73!! One nurse put up a pretty butterfly mobile right above my recliner, thinking that it would relax me and keep my blood pressure down.. she swears up and down that it's helped. The nurses are very nice and always keep my giggling, and it's nice to chit-chat with other expectant mothers that are there for other various testing.
It's happened a couple of times, where some women having a hard time are wheeled directly from our little testing sanctuary to labor and delivery.. That's always an odd feeling to watch them go- and all you can do is whisper a little prayer that everything will be ok.

Sorry my belly pictures never include my face.. there isn't enough room between the computer and the side of the couch.. and it seems I'm the only one keeping up with the pictures. oh well. Silver lining is, I won't have such a reminder of how puffy my face gets while pregnant.
Here's another (incredible) silver lining.. Tyler is still home. and when I say "home", I mean.. as I type this, he's in the kitchen with Josh eating breakfast. He still goes into work, but his days are incredibly short so he can come home and help me with everything around the house and to keep Josh busy (although Josh has been LOVING all the Mario Bro's Wii time he's been getting with me).. those two hours I'm allowed for activity doesn't go very far.
Tyler's Unit just deployed for another 12 months to Iraq, it's just barely been a year since they've been home after their 15 month deployment to Mosul. It was pretty hard for us to watch them go- even harder to watch all the wives say goodbye. It's made me so emotional these last few days, feeling so lucky that Tyler was able to stay home with me for the remainder of my pregnancy. I'm hoping these next 3-6 weeks go by slowly, since I know once the baby is here time is going to start flying by and he will be meeting up with his Unit in Iraq the first part of May.
New subject.
Baby Wyatt is doing great, my last ultrasound in February showed he was in the 65% for that week's gestation. We are so glad and lucky that my high BP hasn't affected his growth. I get another big ultrasound in the next couple of weeks and I look forward to seeing how much he's grown. He's kicking and hiccuping on a regular basis now, even Josh has felt him. (he thought that was pretty cool)
Josh translates for baby Wyatt daily now.. yesterday Josh told me that baby Wyatt was eating breakfast. (at 2pm) I asked him what he was eating, and to my surprise Josh informed me he was eating Jalapeno peppers! All I could think of was, good thing I'm on prilosec!
In other news, Josh is turning 4!!! He reminds us regularly that his birthday is on the 28th and he is SO excited! We are having a birthday party for him on the 27th, and he was so helpful yesterday while I was filling out the invites. Of course, to all extended family, the invite is assumed.. so if any of you would like to make the journey to Colorado Springs for his birthday celebration you're more than welcome!
Hope you're all doing well!
Kelly.
